INTRODUCTION AND HISTORY
Distribution Solutions, Inc. (DSI) was formed in 1990 to provide leading edge management systems to the manufacturing and service industry in their selection and utilization of commercial freight services. These management systems address a broad array of services and provide an enviable cost benefit ratio in out-sourced logistics requirements.
DSI is a non-asset based logistics management consultant firm dedicated to hands on project management and support services.
Consulting services and recommendations provided by asset based companies can be tainted by the obvious bias of generating income for those provider’s equipment or facilities.
First year fees with DSI are paid on a ‘ gain share ‘ arrangement wherein management fees are computed as a percentage of savings or efficiencies achieved.
A unique double accounting process provides clients with weekly documented freight cost savings. Pre-program costs for all modes are computed and incorporated in the agreement for services. Post-program costs are then compared to Pre-program costs to provide weekly, documented freight costs savings and other efficiencies.
DSI brings twenty five (25) years of best practice methodology to the selection and utilization of commercial freight services solely for the benefit of our clients. We have no trucks to load or warehouses to keep full; only our clients good faith to win and keep.
